Processes that work
The maturity of any organization is defined by its processes. Bucher + Christian Consulting has leveraged the experience of our staff to develop repeatable, yet flexible processes. We recognize that every client engagement is different, and there is no “cookie-cutter” approach that guarantees success. Our methodologies provide a consistent foundation while our team's experience allows it to adapt to the unique requirements of each engagement.
Bucher + Christian has begun assessing two methodologies for maturity based upon industry accepted best practices. They are:
- Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3) – Developed by the Project Management Institute (PMI), the OMP3 is designed to assess the maturity of an organization's project and portfolio management methodologies
- Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) – Developed by the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie-Melon (SEI), the CMMI was designed to address the level of control and planning of software development projects.
After completing the assessment of our methodologies against these models, Bucher + Christian will be implementing process improvement efforts to ensure we continually mature as an organization.
