SAP GLOBAL IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT
Challenge
Implement common business processes, using a single software system, SAP R/3®, to create an integrated system worldwide. Major processes to be consolidated included : research and development, manufacturing, finance, and human resources. Pre-implementation, the pharmaceutical company's business processes were not integrated and inconsistent across international affiliates. The companies Global systems lacked consistency and accuracy, which lead ineffective decision making, lack of flexibility and inefficient use of resources.
Solution
Bucher + Christian consultants were members of the Application Development team, involved in all facets of the SAP® implementation from analysis and design to post implementation support and end-user training. Bucher + Christian consultants traveled to the client's international affiliates in France and Spain as part of of the implementation. Bucher + Christian consultants conducted interviews and collaborated with the client's employees to identify business requirements and technical design solutions. Our consultants engineered various SAP® solutions including but not limited to system interfaces, conversions and management reports. Solutions were thoroughly documented for client reference and knowledge transfer. Bucher + Christian consultants facilitated code reviews to ensure conformance to the client's development standards.
