UTILITY COMPANY PEOPLESOFT® IMPLEMENTATION
CLIENT PROFILE
Client is a regulated utility that provides natural gas to nearly 700,000 customers and electrical service to 416,000 customers across the northern Indiana region.
CHALLENGE
As a result of our client's acquisition of three local utilities, Bucher + Christian Consulting was engaged to assist in the consolidation of all of the business units onto a single information system. The decision was made to implement PeopleSoft® financials and human resources across the four business units.
THE SOLUTION
Bucher & Christian Consulting assisted the Application Development team in all facets of the implementation from analysis and design to post implementation support and end-user training. We worked with the business process team to determine the "as-is" and "to-be" interfaces and conversions while considering PeopleSoft® modules' capabilities. We then designed, coded and tested interfaces and conversions between PeopleSoft® and existing legacy systems using custom developed SQR programs. In addition, we developed and customized the PeopleSoft® applications using Data Designer, Panel Designer, Menu Designer, Query and Crystal Reporting.
